Mike's Background and Training

Mike Dynda, Blue Bell Country Club's Director of Instruction, has an extensive background in coaching and playing the game of golf. A graduate of Glenville State College (WV), Mike was twice named all WVIAC and played twice in the NAIA National Golf Championship. Since turning professional in 1987, Mike has earned 20 victories on the local professional circuits, most notably as medalist in the 1998 Local U.S. Open qualifying in Harrisburg, PA.

Mike's teaching/coaching background was formulated over the years by attending seminars and working with renowned teaching institutes such as The Duke Jr. Golf School, Dave Pelz Short Game Tour, Dr. Bob Rotella, and the late Bill Strasbaugh.

Mike has brought to Blue Bell players these experiences, as well as his own beliefs on how golfers should continually strive to improve in this great game that we play. His teaching style and philosophy is to give his players drills and practice plans that allow the most comfortable, repeatable athletic motion. Since each player is different, each should be taught differently - keeping the basic golf fundamentals in mind.

Mike is also the Head Men's Golf Coach at Drexel University, Instruction Editor of Philadelphia Golf Magazine, and the 2005 Philadelphia PGA Teacher of the Year.
